Yarra Jets FC is proud to be associated with the efforts of senior men player Ben Wheelhouse (Yarra Jets FC Senior player) who travelled to Kenya as part of volunteering trip to help vulnerable children in the slums of Nakuru, Kenya.

 
An annual trip run by the Derby County Community Trust, Ben and his partner, participated in completing both the classroom and playground build from the previous year as well as donating food, clothing and other essential items to families most in need. 
 
Ben recalls Donation Day as one of the highlights with Yarra Jets FC donating 120 playing tops that brought many happy smiles to the children within this small town.

 
Ben plans to return in the future, hopefully with more senior players but in the meantime would like to share details of how the Yarra Jets Fc community can support further projects and donations in this amazing community of Nakuru, Kenya.
